Ceremony and Regalia

All candidates enter as pilgrims and advance through the ceremony to Knighthood. On his Installation into the Order a Knight will be invested with the full Regalia.

Knights of Malta

Once you are a member of the Knights Templar Order you automatically go on to further your knowledge of the United Orders by becoming a Knight of Malta. This Order traces the history of the Knights of Malta throughout the mediterranean, over some 400 years. To this day there are many remains of the fortifications and buildings erected by the knights on the islands of Cyprus, Rhodes and Malta. References to the history of these remains are to be found in the ritual associated with this Order.

There is a different and distinct regalia for this Order. You will be pleased to know that there is no additional cost to join this Order and the requirement for the regalia is not mandatory.

Charity

The Order generally only officially supports one Charity, which is the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital, based in Jerusalem. This hospital concerns itself mainly with the eyesight of patients and the support of the Knights Templar contributes to the salaries of the nursing staff and doctors. This hospital, because of its situation in the Middle East, continues to face many demands and problems. We do of course support many local charities as with other Orders in Warwickshire.

Provincial Priory of Warwickshire

A Provincial Prior, who at this time is Right Eminent Knight Dr Michael Harrison JP., heads the Province. There are fourteen Preceptories in Warwickshire who are encamped at most of the Masonic meeting rooms. ( All are shown in the Masonic Year Book ). All meet on weekdays, usually three or four times a year. In June, a Provincial Meeting is held at Stirling Road, Birmingham, when the Provincial Prior hosts a splendid meeting with many prominent visiting Knights from other Provinces in attendance, the Provincial Appointments and Promotions are made. Our Ladies are invited to the Festive Board after a visit to a place of local interest.
